PAYROLL MANAGER

What do you do?

As Payroll Manager I am responsible for overseeing the payroll department. We process weekly, four weekly and monthly payrolls for over 300 clients, carry out all of their ‘Auto Enrolment’ requirements, deal with loads of payroll queries from both HMRC and our clients.

What do you enjoy about your work?

Dealing with new challenges, learning new systems, setting up new processes and being a team player.

What do you enjoy about life?

I love spending time with my husband and three sons. My hobbies include hiking in the Peak District (even managed to Climb Mount Snowdon twice – though second time I fell and fractured my wrist but still managed to get to the top). I love camping and caravanning around the UK – Cornwall and Edale are my favourite places to visit. I also love going to Bingo (it’s not just for the Pensioners), can be a good night out with friends! Used to cycle but after ending up in the Canal after a bike ride, decided it wasn’t for me anymore.

Do you have a pet hate or things people do that irritates you?

Rudeness and people with no manners........ I think being polite is critical when you’re offering a service to people.
