What does Liam do?

As a long standing member of the Senior Accounts team, plays a big part in the preparation of accounts and tax returns, mainly for limited companies but also for partnerships and some sole traders. Preparing VAT returns and maintaining client’s bookkeeping records, as well as offering support and training on accounts software products make up the majority of the rest of his work. Liam also mentors junior members of staff, providing support and advice on a daily basis.

What do you enjoy about your work?

More than anything, the real sense of achievement of seeing a job through from start to finish.

I begin with the basic accounts preparation and then start to steadily pulling all the information together so that at the end, the client has a final set of accurate accounts. I also enjoy the variety of work we carry out, one day I could be working on accounts preparation in the office and the next I could be out at a client’s premises preparing a VAT return or going through their software skills needs.

What do you enjoy about life?

Spending time with my little boy whether it is day trips out, holidays away or just sat watching a film together at home.

I also enjoy most sports, keeping fit, trips away and socialising with my mates.

Do you have a pet hate or things that happen or things people do that irritates you?

Not much bothers me really, I’m quite laid back. I suppose people who use the roads at rush hour times when they don’t need to and have more choice than others in the day, and drivers who don’t use indicators!!

People at the gym who find the need to drop the weights they are using on the floor rather than put them down quietly.
